How to enable parental controls in Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo

You can set parental controls on your Android Oreo device for a family member 13 years of age or older and also under the age of 13.

Step 1:

Open App Drawer in Android Oreo

Step 2: press Play Store

Step 3: Press Three horizontal lines in the upper left corner


Step 4: Select settings


Step 5: Press Parental Control under User Commands


Disable parental controls by default on Android Oreo, Nougat and other devices.

Step 6: change parental control switch button


Step 7: Enter your PIN to change parental control settings on Android Oreo and tap OK


Step 8: confirm PIN & press OK

Now enable parental controls on Android Oreo devices and you will see below three options on your Android devices.

Apps and games:

Restrict rated or unrated apps and games that you cannot view or download from the Google Play Store.


Restrict the purchase or playback of movies in the Google Play Store on your Android devices.


Limit your purchase of music on the Google Play Store. Also, block explicit songs from the radio when playing music settings online or on a device.

If you forgot your parental control PIN on your Android device, please delete the data in Google Play Store on your Android device. It will reset the parental control PIN code.
